Train The World: 10 Million Shots. One Global Training Movement.

What is Train The World?

Train The World is a month-long effort dedicated to getting out and training as firearms owners.  As the lead sponsor for Train The World, Mantis is donating 1 penny per shot, up to $100,000.  Meaning if 10 million shots are captured in September, the full $100,000 will be distributed among training organizations who submitted grant applications this spring asking for funding or product to support training initiatives.  A list of the selected organizations are on the TrainTheWorld.org website.

How can you be a part of Train The World?

There are multiple ways you can be involved!  First is the obvious: train in the month of September by logging shots.  If you use the MantisX Pistol/Rifle app, Mantis Laser Academy, Mantis Archery, or Mantis Shotgun apps, your shots will automatically be counted in the total!  If you don’t have Mantis products, you will be able to submit your shots on TrainTheWorld.org starting September 1st.  We are looking for shots from any shooting sports, so if you are into archery or even airsoft, your shots count!  Do you have shooting clubs or matches you are attending in September, encourage your members and fellow competitors to log their shots in TrainTheWorld.org as well so we can reach the 10 million shot goal.

Next, you can help by spreading the word via social media.  We have a media kit available on the Train The World website that has lots of fun graphics that you can use to make posts showing your support of Train The World.  If the posts you make on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit, or YouTube are public and have the hashtag #TrainTheWorld, they could be featured on our social wall on the website!

Do you have a range you are a member of or frequent often or instructors that you know and have trained with?  Ask them to get involved and point them to the website.  There are also flyers in the media kit that can be printed out and displayed to help inform those who may not have heard of Train The World and have the QR code to take people to the website where they can manually enter shots.

Why Does Training Matter?

Training, especially with firearms, makes us more responsible with them.  Firearms themselves are just a tool, no different than the cars we drive on a daily basis.  Think if you bought a car, didn’t get any instruction of how to drive the car or any road rules or signs, and all of a sudden you are placed into a vehicle during rush hour or on the autobahn.  The car could be dangerous and injure you or someone else.  Firearms training is critical in ensuring safety for ourselves and others.

The End Goal

Is Train The World about eclipsing 10 million shots?  Is it about giving away lots of money?  Sure, those things are part of the goal, but the big picture is about being responsible gun owners and bringing visibility to the value of training.  Let’s ensure that future generations can continue to use firearms for hunting, sports, self-defense and even just enjoyment.
