HOW DOES MANTISX OFFER FEEDBACK?
SCORE
Each shot is scored depending on how much you moved away from your sighted position during the trigger pull. The perfect score is 100 (basically impossible unless locked in a vise).
DIRECTION
For each shot, MantisX detects the direction of the barrel movement during the trigger pull. If you tend to shoot left, left sector will light up on the wheel. After a few shots, the training device shows the pattern of your movement.
SUGGESTION
Analyzing an individual shot or the group of shots, MantisX provides you with a suggestion that could improve your shooting mechanics. Read the coaching tips to know how to focus your efforts in the next round of shooting.

Q: How does MantisX know when you pull the trigger?
A. MantisX detects whether the trigger has been pulled via the use of motion sensors. These sensors pick up on even the smallest movements caused by your trigger pull and firearm handling.
Q: How does MantisX know where the target is?
A. MantisX does not rely on the physical target location to give feedback. Instead, it tracks the motion of the gun and evaluates how stable the aim is during shooting. The system focuses on the firearm's movement rather than the actual position of the target and shot placement.
If preferred, users can combine MantisX with Laser Academy or live fire training systems to engage with a specific target.

A. For dry fire practice, MantisX uses motion sensors and analysis algorithms to track firearm movements without requiring live ammunition.
The system attaches to the gun and records the shooter’s grip stability, trigger press, and aim during dry fire. It gives detailed feedback on shot accuracy and consistency, making it an excellent tool for honing skills without live fire.
